This section is hosted by JPAC on behalf of the UK and Ireland Blood Transfusion Network. It provides a comprehensive repository of information covering all aspects of transfusion practice. Content is developed and reviewed by subject specialists, offering convenient access to current publications and relevant articles.

This section builds on the foundation of the previous 'Better Blood Transfusion Toolkit', originally developed to support the implementation of the Health Service Circulars published by the Department of Health and Social Care. It now presents information in a more systematic way, moving beyond the previous structure determined by the Circulars headings, and addresses various key stages of the transfusion process.

Much of the content from the previous Toolkit still requires updating and new material is needed to address areas not previously covered. If you are interested in contributing to this ongoing work, we invite you to get in touch for further information.
